12judge's Full Review: Sony MHC Stereo Mini System
Shortly after buying a comparable Kenwood system, it started to overheat after about 20 minutes of playing music. The entire main circuit board needed to be replaced. Instead of returning it for another Kenwood, I got this Sony.
This is a great little system. First, the price is great. You cannot get much of a stereo system for under $500 dollars these days, but this one surely packs a punch.
There is a lot of power in this little system. I wouldn't use it for a block party but it can crank out plenty of volume to fill my house.
I particularly like the various "mixing" options you can apply. Similar to an equalizer, but these are preset options to increase the quality of the music.
The system provides good strong music and the speakers provide clear and crisp sound quality. Whether I am playing CDs or tapes or listening to the radio, the sound quality is always excellent.
The CD changer and the dual cassette work well. The system is easy to use and even comes with a remote control. I have been very pleased with mine.
