Pros: Nice wrist rest, the gel.... Nice color, too
Cons: Doesn't work with optical mice despite the misleading claim of being optical mouse-friendly.
The Bottom Line: This may be a nice wrist-supporting mouse pad for a non-optical mouse, but it is clearly defective in terms of use with optical mice. Deceptive advertising.

| drmikenyc's Full Review: FELLOWES 93730 - Easy Glide Gel Wrist & Mouse Pad ... |
This seems to be the best place to get the word out, as my complaint to Fellowes got nowhere past "we stand behind our product and will investigate".
I use a Logitech cordless optical mouse, real nice, but I wanted to get a wrist-supporting small pad for it (well, for my wrist), so I picked up this colorful blue pad/rest when I saw it in a store.
Problem: the cursor began getting stuck outside the page frame, or disappeared altogether. I wrote to Logitech, who correctly diagnosed the problem: the pad. If I just used the white formica tabletop it works great. When I made the "improvement" of adding that pad, my wrist feels better but the mouse does not work correctly. As Logitech told me, the way to diagnose is see if the problem goes away when you put a piece of white paper over the pad. Voila. Perfect.
The pad is NOT "optical friendly" and as I suggested to Fellowes, this sure seems like false advertising to say that it is. In fact, use of this pad keeps at least one optical mouse from working correctly at all.
Thought you might like to know. Small money lost, but I think they have "chutzpah" to advertise based on the hook that they are particularly "optical friendly" when the opposite is true. And they know it. And they have yet to show me how they stand behind their product. Anyone who can sell a defective product by claiming it's wonderful in the area it's defective in is not to be trusted, imho. (I don't work for a competitor, btw!)
