Twist and Shout The Original Twisted Tea
by LauroA | Apr 17 '01
The blonde beers are light and mild and are the best for brewing with fruity flavors. They've become the grain based brews answer to the wines and ciders.

Not Too Sweet, Not Too Filling, But Way Too Good! (Reply to this comment)

The reason I say, "Way Too Good" is because it just goes down so easy! With little to no carbonation, it is quite thirst-quenching and doesn't fill you up like beer. The light lemon flavor is no where near as strong as many of the malt beverages out there that leave your tongue feeling parched after the second one. It is a little pricey, but no more than the average micro-brew. Having the Nutrition Information somewhere on the label would be helpful, especially for those of us who may be conscious of carb/calorie intake. This beverage is definitely a winner and because it is such a good thing, my best friend and I are hoping it doesn't go away like so many other good things.

There are no nutrition facts on the box or on the label. Is there anyway they can be added or can I be informed through e-mail what the nutrition facts are?

Twisted tea is not the same as a Blonde ale. Off Topic, but interesting otherwise.

I have to disagree with you on what you're drinking (Reply to this comment)

Many "Blonde Beers" are actually based on Kolsch style ales or the wheat style. Many brewers use the term for their lightest ales or summer beers. "Twisted Tea" has little to do with this beer category. True, it is a malt based beverage but it has little correlation to real beer. It's an "alco-pop."
