Audible.com made an audio book lover out of me! Highly recommended

I highly recommend Audible.com. I joined a few months ago and have been purchasing and downloading audible books to listen to on my iPod. Purchasing the books has been simple and hassle-free. I love being able to listen to an audio book while at the gym or while doing mundane things like cleaning house. Before I wasn't a dedicated gym-goer, but now I can't wait to get to the gym to hear what will happen next in "The DaVinci Code"!
I've had no service problems at all. Once you purchase a book, it goes into your library so that you can download it as many times as you like in whatever format you want. When my husband was using the iPod one day, I could still listen to my story from my computer. I'm an avid book reader and didn't think I'd enjoy audio books so much. But it's a fabulous way to read a book AND get other things done at the same time. The Audible site is simple to use. I initially had some concerns that their selection wasn't going to be large enough. But since I only download 1 or 2 books a month and they are constantly adding more books to their catalog, I'm no longer worried.
The individual books at Audible.com seem very expensive. However, I'm a premium listener now, so I can get two books a month for $19.95. At $10 per book, that's a reasonable price compared to regular books. I also look at it as $10 for ~15 hours of entertainment -- a much better deal than a movie. And since my husband is now also listening to my audio books, that's really $5 each for a lot of hours of listening pleasure. We think it's a very good deal.
