Okay. Okay. I've read enough today to speedily add you to my WOT.

Strange, how you're nearby yet I've not bumped into you on Epinions before . . .

While reading your essay, I was making mental notes about the comment I was going to write. "Sweet", "American male tradition", "blending family"....I had the whole darn thing written and then did a HUGE double take at the end of the piece....lost my soda on my monitor and can't write a coherent sentence.

Thanks, I think! :)

Thanks, t!

Calling the little guys hookers just might not fit in with what they really do (ifin' you catch my drift).

Thank for stoppin' in. I always enjoy a t visit 'cause it brings a laugh.

Don't kids say the craziest things. You must save this to show him as he gets older. I am sure it will be a story passed around.

Very funny! I can do all of those things too. Does that make me a Master Baiter? Hmmm. Now what sort of ceremony should I have to celebrate the coveted title? Thanks for a great read.

Sara, he did finally figure it out and he was still grinning about it. I'll tell ya, the boy spends way too much time at the barn.

Flamepillar, hope you enjoyed.

Emalena, thanks for the compliment and thanks for stopping by.

Thanks, Maryanne. Catch and release, I like that.

I appreciate the nice comments.

Fishing is a sport that teaches patience and self-reliance at the same time.

Of course, I've never caught a fish that I haven't thrown back.

Your ePinion is well written and well thought out. Fishing is one of my favorite hobbies. My father taught us with cane poles when we were in preschool. I still remember standing on the shore with cane poles.

I also remember fishing at my Grandma's house off the dock in her backyard. My dad was busy teaching my older sister how to fish for bass with an artificial lure. I was so frustrated and tired of catching the little blue-gills (perch). I waded out in the lake and caught minnows with my hands. Then I creatively baited my hook and caught a small fish that swallowed the hook. I was seven years old and able to take a fish off the hook, but not a swallowed hook. I remember crying to my dad to get the little blue-gill off my hook so I could keep fishing. He turned around to see what I was crying about and saw that I had caught a small bass. He immediately ignored my older sister and rejoiced with me over my first bass!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your name on the EA just ins. I figured I must have been dreaming.

And what a wonderful dream it was. Now I can haul my contented butt off to work.

Who's wondering how long it will take for the young "Master" to figure it out. Payback will be fun. *g*
