In my recent radio filler study, so far I have "All I Wanna Do" by Sheryl Crow marked as having been played 8 times so far. This is in 11 workdays of 7 hours of listening each time! I find it completely incredible that such drivel keeps getting played while some of the real masterpieces such as "I Think God Can Explain" by Splendor get tossed out like yesterday's garbage. If it hadn't won that Grammy it would be nowhere today. I too have broken 8 of our 15 windows in the store for each time "All I Wanna Do" came on, and at the rate we're going, by the time I'm through with my 20 nights of keeping track of what all gets played, we're gonna run out of windows before the 20 nights are up. Only one other relatively old song has gotten played that many times in 11 nights, and that's "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia which is just about as bad (although the CD is pretty good).

I love REO but can't think of the song you talk about here. I need to dig out my album. Oh, I guess if you hate Sheryl Crow you won't like it, but when driving, a cool song to have on in "Everyday is a winding road; everyday is a fading sign"---but this is a great review! Reading it brought a flood of memories of my own.

"In My Dreams" is one of my most favorite songs of all times!!!!! And yes, it still brings tears to my eyes!!! It's never played enough on the radio though:( Another good one that no one remembers from the 80's, but makes me cry is "What About Me" by Moving Pictures. Remember that one? Great job!!!
