Wow is all I can say. I happened to catch a blurb at the end of the Mr Clean Magic Eraser commercial and noticed the product was supposed to simply 'erase' crayon off the walls. Yeah right.
One day while picking up some other cleaning supplies at the store, I saw the blue box with Mr Clean Magic Erasers in it. Still skeptical, but curious, I bought some and brought them home to try on my childrens' art work on their bedroom walls. Boy was I surprised!
I read in another review here at epinions that this product is one of the very few that actually lives up to their advertising claims and it's 100% true. Mr Clean Magic Erasers do magically erase dirt, grime and stains from a multitude of surfaces. I have removed TONS of writing on walls from both eggshell paint and flat, fingerprints from doors, scuff marks from floors, pan marks from my white kitchen sink, soap scum from the shower and many other things too numerous to mention.
The absolute BEST thing I've done with the Mr Clean Magic Eraser has to be removing the smoke stains from my mom's kitchen cupboards. My parents both smoke and in their infinite wisdom bought white cupboards when they remodeled 10 years ago. Although the cupboard doors look fine, the white around them was very yellowed from smoke. My mom scrubbed and scrubbed those cupboards and used everything from bleach, to ammonia to tri-sodium phosphate but nothing worked very well at all.
After finding out the wonders of Mr Clean Magic Erasers and telling my mom about them, she was sure they wouldn't work because there seems to be no cleaner/solvent in them. You just get them wet, wring them out and gently rub on the stained surface. She wouldn't buy any, so I took one to her house and tried it on her cupboards and lo and behold, they worked wonderfully! There are no more yellow stains on her cupboards. They're all nice and white and bright and my mom was FLOORED.
If you haven't tried Mr Clean Magic Erasers, get out there and get some. They're cheap, extremely effective and disposable and most important, versitile and easy to use. There's no scrubbing and gloves and stuff to worry about, just get it wet, wring it out, and gently rub the stains away. When you're done, throw it out.
I love my Mr Clean Magic Erasers and if you try them, I know you will too! :0)
