It was a great location. Right on the the British Columbian mountain of Blackcomb in Whistler. The stage was located mid-mountain. I took a gondola up there. First up came The New Rascals. Another Vancouver group. It was kind of weird that The Rascals would open for MGB because they are a rap group. No one really payed any attention to The Rascals. They didn't really fit in with the whole scene. Then came Sloan, which were absolutely great! They played a few songs, and then surprising the lead singer from sloan rapped with the guy from Rascals. It was kind of different, but cool. By now about half the crowd is on their feet. Then it seemed like forever, but finally Matthew Good Band came out. The whole crowd immediately got on their feet. I worked my way to the front. I was in the 3rd row now. There was cops everywhere. And pot smoke in the air. Afterall we are in BC.... Songs The future is X-rated Hello time bomb Load me up Giant I miss the new wave Rico Deep Six on stage he lit two stuffed animals covered in lighter fluid on fire. It was so cool!
