They really take you back to some of the best years of your life. 10.)CAN'T BUY ME LOVE- A great 80's film about how stupid teens can be about popularity. This movie is about a boy who pays the girl of his dreams to be his girlfriend for a month. By doing this he becomes the coolest guy in school. Great message behind this one. 9.)AMERICAN PIE- A typical 90's teen film about four guys who make a bet that they will loose their virginity before prom. Actually has a lot of truth throughout the film and is very funny. 8.)I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER- The only horror film I put on the list. I felt their had to be at least one considering the amount that have been made. This one is very good because the teens in this movie are more real then any of the other horror ones their in. Has lots of scares with a great ending. 7.)TEN THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU- Now I know most people will say American Pie was better then this one but to me I enjoyed this one better. I found it to be funnier with a better cast and not so much of it is based on sex. Very good teen film with a great young cast. 6.)FRIDAY- A movie about drugs and the hood. It takes place in L.A in a black neighbourhood. Kind of a funny version of Boyz n the Hood. It stars Ice Cube and Chris Tucker who sit around on a Friday smoking weed and seeing what goes on in their neighbourhood. Lots of laughs. 5.)JAWS 2- The sequel to one of the best movies ever made. This film is about teenagers because half the movie is about a group of teenagers stranded out in the middle of the ocean with the shark always close by. Awesome shark scenes with some great looks at what the 70's teens were like. 4.)FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF- Now this film has to be on everyone's list. It stars Matthew Broderick as a guy who skips school and has the day of his life with his best friend and girlfriend. Awesome movie and very funny. 3.)STAND BY ME- A great young teen film about for kids that go searching for a dead body during a summer in the 50's. Very well acted with a great cast. A very good teen drama also that explores some of the hard ships and tough times teens go through. 2.)ABOVE THE RIM- The best basketball movie ever. This film is about a guy in high school who is amazing at basketball and being scouted by the pros. The only thing is he is starting to fall in with the wrong crowd when he starts to become close with a large drug dealer played by Tupac. Very good ball scenes with a strong message. 1.)DAZED AND CONFUSED- There is no doubt about it this has to be the best and maybe the most realistic teen movie about the last day of school in the late 70's.
