I was surprised to see how low of a rating Inoax.com has got from the reviewers. I had recently ordered a Garmin GPS 2610 from them and had no trouble. I supposed I was very lucky and did not know it. I ordered from Inoax after reading good reviews about them from another source, not Epinions.
I'm rating this company based on this one-time experience I had with Inoax. I'll leave the decision whether to shop with them to you.
I used the internet to order. I ordered at 2pm California time (5pm New York time). The ordering was easy to understand and I had no trouble. The shipping options were clearly explained. This was important to me because I wanted overnight shipping and such an option was not available to me from another vendor (see my review for the other vendor).
Order feedback was very good. Within a few seconds, I got an email acknowledging my order, explaining to me that my order would not be shipped until the credit card and shipping address were verified. Since I wanted to make sure the item I ordered was in stock, I gave Inoax a call. It was a toll-free number.
I was able to talk to a live person. I explained that I wanted to make sure the item was in stock and that was verified and I wanted to know whether I would get the item the next day. The customer rep only assured me that it would get there in 1 or 2 days depending on whether my credit card and billing address could be verified that day. That was reasonable enough.
After that, I was subjected to a barrage of sale pitches on accessories that were not all that reasonably priced. I calmly said NO after NO. As soon as the final NO left my mouth, the salesman hung up on me without saying goodbye. That was rather rude but then these guys were from New York and the phone call was on them (toll-free). I guess I could understand that.
Within an hour, I got 3 more emails. One confirmed that my credit card and shipping address was OK. The second confirmed that my credit card had money and the order was approved. The third one informed me that my item was shipped and gave me a DHL tracking number. Of course when I checked, DHL website said that there was no tracking number. This did not worry me since I'm accustomed to that phenomenon. The store can generate a tracking number from the store and it would not be entered in the shipping company computer until the item is picked up from the store.
Sure enough, later that night, DHL website showed me that my item was picked up around 8pm (New York time) and the anticipated delivery date was next day at 10:30 am (California time). The next day, my (now beloved) GPS arrived at 10am! This was very impressive considering it was shipped from New York to LA! The item was well-packed and in perfect condition. It was well-worth the $50 shipping charge.
With an experience like this, it was hard for me to give Inoax anything but a high score. They did not get perfect from me due to that sales pitch and the rudeness of hanging-up.
I hope you can make your informed decision based on my review as well as others. Update: somebody accused me of being a plant for Inoax.com. I assure you that I am not. Based on a great many negative reviews, I am changing my recommendation to NO for this vendor. Even though I had a somewhat positive experience, I myself would not buy from this vendor again.
