The Bottom Line: Great game for fans of the oriental type stuff. Good replay value!

This game is a lot like Sim City, but with an Asian theme! The graphics are stunning. The graphics supply a great Asian atmosphere. The best part, as the quality of the dwelling increases, the graphic looks better and better! I loved this feature, which made me what to make my empires look grand!

At the beginning, you can watch a movie, which is excellent! It sets a lovely plot. The plot follows that of ancient China, and I find it pretty accurate. You can choose which dynasty you rule during, which opens more options for you. There are different time periods which provide different technology. The replay value of this game outmatches any other sim game I've played. What is replayable are the missions, you can replay all the missions over and over and do it differently each time to see the out come.

Your empire will engage in war, in festivals, difficult times, and in great times! You can play online, and test out your abilities against others, in what I find a humble community.

The game comes with a great tutorial that will get any novice started on the right path! The age group is so vast. Anyone who finds SimCity fun will love this game! It's also great for those who love oriental themes!

Features ~

Online: You can play online, with no monthly charge! The only cost you must pay is that of the game. The online feature is set up to allow you to chat with people, then enter a mission, and compete verses the others. You each get your own city.

Monuments: You're able to build monuments, anything from a great pagoda to the great wall! These take a lot of time, lots of work(ers) and much patience, but in the end you're greatly rewarded. The graphics of the monuments are very nice! You can even right click the monument, and it gives you a few sentences to read on the monument.

Religion: At first, they may seem odd, but yes, the game includes religion! First, people demand Ancestral Religion, then they go on to Daoism or Buddhism as they advance, and continue with Confucianism. What's great is, with each established religion, you can give tributes to gods of the religion and when the gods are happy enough they will come down and walk about. The gods bring with them benefits, such as more outcome of crops and goods. When mad, the gods will punish you by giving you a drought, or flooding you, just two of the few ways they can torture you.

Alliances/Trades: You can gain alliances with neighboring cities and gain their trust. You can fight by other cities side, or against them! The battlefield is a small one, the armies are limited, but it provides enough interest for those that are into militia stuff. Also you can become trading partners with other cities, allowing you to transfer goods throughout the lands. You can gain profit by buying low, selling high.

Extra: Many things come with the game. In your city, you get to choose where you build your buildings, but what influences you is Feng Shui! If you don't build in the right places, no one will come! Also, you can build a palace and capture animals (using a god). By right clicking on the people walking about your street, they give you a small bit of information, they talk to you and tell you what they think of your city. This can help you when suddenly everyone leaves and you don't know that it's because of Feng Shui. There's a lot more!

Graphics: The graphics are great for this type of game! They appear to have a touch of drawing, yet look realistic. All of the graphics fit in to the oriental theme of the game.
