Pros: Rooms and amenities are high quality. Fresh, clean facilities.
Cons: For those who like to stroll the Boardwalk, it is a jitney ride away.

The Borgata sets a new standard for Atlantic City hotels.
From the moment we checked we saw a difference in the quality of service from other hotels. Our check-in clerk was friendly and offered us a choice of room - from floor level to view.
Our room was fresh and modern. Even the hallways had a fresh, aromatherapy type scent.
The table dealers were very friendly - smiled (take note Ballys!) and chatted with players. Did not offer free chips however.
We ate at three of the restaurants (separate reviews on those): Ombra, Specchio and Suilan. All three were expensive. Suilan was superb - from service to food.
I went to the Salon and found the staff friendly and professional. Received an expert re-style at prices comparable to home. Also peeked in at the gorgeous pool.
There are negatives to staying there - it is off the Boardwalk so if you are interested in night strolls along the beach be prepared to take a taxi (maximum fare $8 however) or a $1.50 jitney which has sporadic schedules - buses either never arrive or are full when they get to your stop.
