by IleneG | Apr 20 '01
I can't possibly rate these on a 1 to 10 scale so they are all at the top of my list!

Aw, now you've gone and made me nostalgic. Off to the video store for me, I'm going to throw together an impromptu 80's night!

I'm all the way for Karate Kid, that is an awesome movie. I think it's a must see picture for every single kid. So who were you dating from that film?

I LOVE the Goonies ...I actually forgot about them as I was writing my list though:(

I am going to do a new Epinion on my top ten movie picks (not sure which category yet) that will include favorites such as Goonies! Hmmm maybe I'll do a Top 10 Corey and Corey List(anything with Corey Feldman and Corey Haim pre-drug years)...there's an Idea!!

Great article and I loved most of your movie selections! ;) In fact, whenever I was going to play hooky from school, I'd pop in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and, hey, I lived in Chicago so it was an extra perk. LOL

Although, IMHO...you left out The Goonies which is classic '80s, too! :)

I only own about five movie soundtracks and one of them happens to be -The Breakfast Club-

I think that movie is a classic along with Fast Times.

The first date my husband and I went on was to see the Breakfast Club! I'd hate to see a remake - LOL but a Class Reunion might be really fun. Think how much we have all changed since then.

Thanks so much but the Reason Why Grease didn't make the list is because Grease came out in the 70s. Sorry, Grease 2 came out in the 80s though:)

...with your title. Ah, youth. We must be the same age! Thanks for the nostalgia, I get disturbed when I meet a young person that says, "Who's Molly Ringwald?" ~Turtlegirl

A great list! I was 4-13 in the 80's but I remember them just the same. Karate Kid is one of my all time favorites, and who can deny that Bill Pullman kicks ten levels of a$$.

You brought back a lot of my childhood memories. I thought I was the coolest kid with my jelly shoes, lace hair bow and neon clothes that didn't match. good review.

I loved all of these! One of these days I am going to have to buy The Breakfast Club, that is one movie that everyone should own! Oh I thought of another one (maybe I will have to do my own list) The Goonie's! I think I have seen that one over a hundred times :)
