| silwood's Full Review: Le Royal Mansour Meridien |
The Royal Mansour is supposed to be the besthotel in Morocco!! it may well be the most expensive but that is the only accolade i can give this so called luxury hotel!
Having stayed at the sheraton in Agadir and another hotel (Le Littoral) in Casablanca i was looking forward to my one nights stay at the Royal Mansour! i had no choice it was business!
Check-in: Rude staff, very unhelpful with requests and very abrupt service.
Rooms: very oppulant but for £200 a night shoud expect exactly that. However the levels of comfort were not great, very hard bed, alot of road noise and a maze of corridors did not help the overall feeling of over priced and under performance.
Food: Extortion is what you expect from hotel restaurants and bars but this was grossly overpriced - eat outside the hotel at one of the near by restarants you pay 25% of the proce, have better food and again the royal mansour had probably the worst service i have experience in much tracvel. 5 people order food at there brasserie and 4 of us get the wrong meals - no appology when comments were made and food of a very average standard.
Check-out: as with Check in, very poor service, rude staff with no desire to help in any way.
Other services: Overpriced coffee and tea, over proced breakfast, Very slow staff!
All in all a real dissapointment, DO NOT stay at this hotel, save yourself a fortune by staying anywhere else and get far better service thrown in for free (as was the case at both the sheraton and le littoral)
