and great recipes. This fish is also popular with Italians, like me(honest!). We call it baccala!

Oooo...that's one of my favorites also :) The Carne de Porco Alentejana.
I have a recipe for that if you're interested.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment, Az :)

Thanks, Noel :)
I've enjoyed a couple of your wine reviews and plan to go back for more.
I also enjoyed reading about the bacalao dish from Manila. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

is one of the very few things I am more passionate about than wine. It is always very interesting to learn new recipes. Bacalao, as it is spelled in Manila, is a traditional dish served on Good Friday and is cooked with tomato sauce, potatoes and a variety of Spanish spices. I do enjoy a good homemade Bacalao.

Now, I'm hungry too. It is a good thing that it's already about dinner time here.

Best regards,

Noel

Believe it or not, I'm craving fish sticks now that you mention them! I haven't had them in years. But I think I might just have to have some tomorrow with a ton of tartar sauce.

I know it's not the same, but I just had some fish sticks, and made some fries. I feel better now. Thanks:)
