Close Shave? The closer the better!

The Bottom Line I found this to be by far, the best product of it's kind for women.
How to choose a shaving accessory. Something I didn't really think about until I saw the category.
I have tried a lot of shaving cremes and gels, plain ole bar soap and even using the shower and bath gel since I already had it on my legs. Some gave me a decent close shave and others just got me by, not for very long, though.
Then I discovered Gillette for women. Their product for women is Satin Care, and guess what ladies? It comes in some really luscious fragrances! The container is also a very sleek nice looking 7 oz. container. The two that I purchased (I didn't pay attention to see if there were other fragrances or formulas, I didn't realize I would be writing an opinion on them) are Wild Berry and Flower Twist.
Wild Berry comes in a sliver container with a purple lid and Flower Twist comes in sliver and pink lid. Wild Berry is an ultra conditioning moisture rich save gel and Flower Twist is a skin soothing moisture rich shave gel.
I have tried cremes before but I really think I get the better and closer shave with a gel. Cremes seem to take more to get the lather I like, and they don't seem to raise the hair like a gel does, making you get a closer shave and one that last more than a day.
When using Gillette Satin Care you should know that a little goes a long way and I do mean a little. The first time I used this I kind of put a little trail of the gel down the entire length of my leg and started spreading it around. By the time I got it all over my leg, I still had enough to do the other leg and probably half the women's legs in my family. I kid you not, there was a lot of lather! Of course, if I had read the directions, it says "put small amount on fingertip." The contents come out of the can as a gel but after rubbing it, it becomes a nice rich lather.
The Gillette Satin Care container has a very nice applicator button in that it is about one and one half inches long across the top of the can. This makes it much easier on your finger to dispense the contents than those that have just the little round applicator top.
Gillette Satin Care shave gel comes out as a very pale gel. If you are using the Wild Berry the gel is purple, the Flower Twist is pink.
Wild Berry is a special non-soap formula with conditioners, aloe and allantoin. Flower Twist is a special non-soap skin soothing formula with seven moisturizers and skin conditioners.
The Gillette people claim that Satin Care gives you a close, smooth shave and soft, satiny smooth skin like never before. The Wild Berry lets you experience a luscious berry fragrance in a cool purple gel, and the Flower Twist lets you experience the exotic floral fragrance in a refreshing pink gel. This fragrance is very light but you can get a whiff once in awhile while using it. It is nothing that is going to stay with you for very long. It is a very nice feminine fragrance. Now you don't have to use your husbands shave cream that has a "manly" fragrance, and seems to hang on longer than we like on us. On your guy it is nice hanging on for awhile!
I have used both the Wild Berry ultra conditioning and the Flower Twist skin soothing, it is hard for me to say which if any, I like best. They both do a great job in leaving your skin soft and smooth and they both produce a wonderfully rich lather with just the nicest hint of fragrance.
If the container is going to be out where it is seen when someone goes into your bathroom then you might want to just pick the one that goes with the color scheme. Mine is not seen by anyone who happens to go into my bathroom (unless they open up my shower curtain) so it doesn't matter to me which color I have.
If you are having a hard time finding the lathering item for your shaving needs, the next time you shop for them check out Gillette Satin Care, especially if you want a wonderfully close encounter with your razor.
