Pros: Great at stain removing, just abrasive enough.
Cons: Sometimes is hard to rinse off, can leave a powdery feel if not rinsed well.
The Bottom Line: Comet is one of those things I have to have in my home.

| grandpawa's Full Review: CometMultiroom Disinfectant Cleanser With Bleach |
My X-Wife has always been a huge user of Comet for ever. Every time there was a stain of any type she would get out the Comet cleanser. She uses is to clean bath tubs, toilets, and even uses it nightly to clean the kitchen counter after dinner. Since this cleanser is disinfecting and has bleach it is even better. My X has always been fantastic when it comes to cleaning so when we parted ways one of the first things I bought for my new home cleaning needs was Comet Multi room Disinfectant Cleanser with Bleach
The apartment I now live in is in an older building so there was a rust spot in the bathroom sink. I got out my cleanser and though it did not totally get rid of the stain it did get the stain to where I almost no longer notice it. This for me was a big deal. I then used it to clean the bath tub and kitchen sink and it did a fantastic job on both. I now use it in the sink every night after I wash dishes to get out any left over grime that is there. The fact that it is a bit abrasive helps with getting up left over particles. I also think that this is the best thing around for removing stains from counter tops, such as those left by Kool Aid or Red Wine.
I have just two complaints about Comet Multi Room Disinfectant Cleanser and Bleach. One is actually not a complaint, but just something to be aware of. You need to make sure you roll up your sleeves very well before using it because if it gets on your colored clothes you are going to get a bleach mark. I learned that the hard way. The other complaint is minor, but if you use cleanser to clean your counter tops like my X if you dont rinse it off very well, and can appear to be a little powdery on your surface. But a good rinsing will assure that this does not happen. Also just a bit of commonsense with this, and of course they have to put this on the container is to avoid eye contact with the cleanser take a moment and wash your hands if you have to scratch or rub your eyes, and wash them good. Dont get it in your mouth because it can be harmful, and I am sure it does not taste very good either. Also because it has bleach in it you may not want to let it have direct contact with your skin. Wear gloves or just be careful not to get it on your skin.
Warning: This is a general warning for all cleaning products and of course includes Comet. Remember cleaning products are made with chemicals. Do not mix cleaning products. You never know when two different cleaning products are going to have a reaction to one another. And you never know what kind of reaction that might be. I know someone who burned her skin by mixing two cleaning products together, so just dont do it.
This stuff is super easy to use. You can sprinkle it on to a slightly wet surface and then wipe with a wet cloth, sponge, or brush. Or you can apply the cleanser directly to the wet; cloth, sponge or brush, and then apply it to your surface. Either way works fine, just make sure you rinse your cleaning item of choice at least a few times during the cleaning. Cleanser does not rinse as easily as some other things so this well take a bit of effort, but is well worth it. It also helps if the water is warm or hot. Cold water and cleanser dont seem to go very well together. I almost forgot to mention that you sprinkle Cleanser because it comes in a cardboard type can that has holes on the top that the cleanser pours out of. Kind of like sprinkling Parmesan cheese on your spaghetti. And while we are talking about spaghetti Cleanser is great for cleaning up marinara sauce.
My daughter told me that when I write an Epinion about anything with ingredients that I should include them, so to keep her from griping at me here they are: Sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione dihydrate and inactive cleaning agents (calcium carbonate, sodium carbonate, anionic surfactants.) Container 75% recyclable..
For those on a budget you cant get very many cleaning products that are as cheap as Comet Cleanser. This Cleanser comes in a 14 oz size and a 21 oz size. The larger size can be found for just over a buck, and the smaller size can be found for a dollar or less. Usually I am able to find it for .79. I dont know of any other products that are that cheap.
I mentioned a few uses for the product above but I just gotta say that this stuff works great on cleaning bathroom tiles, and is especially great for cleaning in between them. I also some times use it to remove stubborn things off of pots, when I am out of SOS pads. Since I am on a tight budget the more I can do with one product the better, and I find that I can do most of my house hold cleaning with the Comet Multi Room Disinfectant Cleanser and Bleach. It is mildley abrasive which makes it great for a good scrub or stain removal but it is not abrasive enough to have to be concerned about. Of course it doesnt do windows, but neither did my X. That was always my job.
So this old guy recommends that you get some Comet Multi Room Disinfectant Cleanser and Bleach. You wont be sorry, your wallet wont be empty, and your house will be much cleaner.
