Sendmoreinfo.com is another site that promises to reward you for reading emails. It is definitely one of the more established get paid for reading emails sites currently on the web as they launched back in September 1999 with a current membership (as at Feb 2001) of almost two million.
The idea is simple; you just register as a member totally free of charge and then pick your favourite interests from a comprehensive list, up to a maximum of 20. Then just sit back and wait for emails to hit your inbox from advertisers based on the interests you chose. Simply click on the licks within the mails to receive a small cash credit for reading them.
Becoming rich from this scheme is very unlikely, in fact impossible! Currently, sendmoreinfo pay you five cents for each email you receive and two cents for each email received by your referrals. The downline is rather disappointing, only the one level of referrals so in order to make any decent money at all, you need to recruit an awful lot of friends. I joined back in October last year, and since then have referred 7 friends earning myself the grand sum of $3.76! So I wouldn’t sign up and rush to hand in your notice to your boss just yet!
If you do manage to earn yourself a decent amount, payment is made by cheque (in dollars) on the 20th of each month for preceding month’s earnings once you have reached the minimum of $10.00. Otherwise your earnings are carried over to the next month.
Each email you receive tells you the total number of mails you have received that month. Or you can pop along to the website and check out all your details and earnings there.
Once at the site, log in with your user ID (a number that is allocated to you, rather than a username) and password and visit the Member’s Section. Here is where you can update your account by modifying your user profile and changing your categories of interest. If emails seem to be slowing, it might be worth considering changing your categories every now and again, so that you start to receive mails from new advertisers and hopefully increase the number you receive.
Within the Member’s Section, you can also view a summary of the last ten mails you received, check out special offers on the site, refer friends and family and check your earnings summary. You can set the payout to a higher rate to reduce commission charges on cheques but the minimum is ten dollars. There is also a comprehensive FAQs section here that should answer all of your questions and you can also obtain banners to link to sendmoreinfo.com from your own website in the hope you might pick up a few more referrals!
All in all, this IS one of the better ‘paid to receive email’ schemes available it has to be said, but expect to have a long wait for any sort of payout unless you can refer other members in their hundreds and thousands!
