Avon has indeed done an awful lot to educate public awareness about Breast Cancer! They have came a long way (IMHO) of rasing $$ and in a relatively short period of time. They started the campaign against Breast Cancer not so many years ago, and they have contacted s many people. My MIL is a country lady who doesn't get out much. She's not backwards at all, just a very beautiful simple lady. She even bought one of Avon's pink Breast Cancer ink pins.
I've never been a part of the fund raiser, but it certainly sounds like a very organized and worthwhile event.
