Pros: Easy to clean, functional, durable, fits nicely under drainer, four colours to choose from.
Cons: Water does not always drain away, slight warping after a year.
The Bottom Line: Wheeee! It's an amusement park ride for water to slide away from your dishes and into your sink!

| pinkants's Full Review: Rubbermaid Blue Mist Small Dish Drainer Tray 1180 |
Problem: Water sloshing all over my counter.
Solution: The simple design of the Rubbermaid Small Dish Drainer Tray 1180
Background sound effects: Hurrahs and cheers!
How it works
It really does not take a rocket scientist to figure how this works--simply place it underneath a dish drainer and ta-da! The water from dripping dishes is collected into this tray instead of onto your counter. Since the tray is gently sloped, the water drains away (just remember to put the edge by the sink!). There are ridges on the surface to help guide the water, and three of the four sides are curved upwards to prevent stray water from deviating onto your counter.
Size
Naturally, this has to fit your dish drainer or else it would not work. The size I have is rather small as I do not have much counter space. Its dimensions are 1.025 x 15.614 x 14.383 in (2.6 x 39.66 x 36.53 cm). I presume that it probably fits best with a Rubbermaid dish drainer.
Colour
Even though this is "blue mist", it is basically clear with just the slightest, teeniest tinge of blue. Therefore, I consider this to be clear. This colour is perfect for me as I do not have to worry about whether or not it matches (with the kitchen, the dish drainer, etc). After all, what can possibly clash with clear? It also comes in white, bisque, and dark hunter.
Cleaning
This tray is very easy to clean as there are no tiny crevices or grooves. One can simply wipe it down with a sponge using soap and water.
My Experience
This tray works well overall. It is sturdy, easy to clean, and has a long draining edge. However, water does not always slide away; sometimes it just sits there. This is most likely because the tray is not angled enough (i.e., it is too gently sloped). Using the formula tangent = adjacent over opposite, I found that the angle is only approximately 0.79 degrees! Of course, it the angle were too great, the dish drainer would probably just slide off! However, I think it would be better if it were sloped just a bit more.
Furthermore, after about a year of use, I believe that the tray is somewhat "warped". Parts of it are "arching", so it is no longer a smooth, straight surface.
Recommendation
Despite the minor slope and slight warping, this tray is quite functional and useful. I've used it for over a year and have no plans to replace it soon.
