Recently a friend of mine sent me a care package. Within this package was Glade PlugIns Scented Oil with Refreshing Citrus. I had never used the Glade PlugIns Scented Oil previously but I was anxious to smell the different in my home. I remember how much my friend had said how great the Glade PlugIns Scented Oil really was.
Packaging~
On this particular box of the Glade PlugIns Scented Oil there was a Holder for the Scented Oil as well as a cartridge of Refreshing Citrus. The Glade PlugIns also have two other holders; one that you still plug cords into rather than taking the plug away and another that has a tiny fan it to blow the scent away.

Glade® PlugIns® Scented Oil provides gentle, no-fade fragrance that can make even larger rooms more inviting. Just insert the warmer unit upright into your outlet. Adjust it for the amount of fragrance you want. And enjoy the freshness spreading throughout your room, from the first drop of oil to the last.
The Directions~ (taken from website: www.glade.com)
1. Unscrew cap from bottle and insert into warmer.
2. First rotate pins, then insert unit upright into outlet.
3. If unit is removed, separate bottle from unit and store in upright position.
4. Adjust warmer for desired setting (3 max. - 1 min.)
5. Replace fragrance oil bottle when empty with Glade® PlugIns® Scented Oil refills only. SC Johnson will not be held responsible for damage injury, or poor performance caused by use of any other refills in PlugIns® Scented Oil.
6. Fragrance oils may collect on warmer unit over time. To clean, remove warmer unit from electrical outlet and wipe with dry cloth. Wash hands after handling.
My Experience~
By following the directions that are on the box that the Glade PlugIns Scented Oil comes in, I took the Refreshing Citrus' cap off. The cap is long and with a screw in the right direction comes off very easily. Once I had put the glass bottle of Refreshing Citrus into the PlugIns Scented Oil, I finally plugged it in an outlet.
I was ready to see how well it worked. There is a dial on the top of the holder for how much of an opening you may want to leave your oil on. It can be shut back and forth for as much or as little you want to use up the oil in your home.
After I had prepared everything and opened up the Glade PlugIns Scented Oil we were ready to leave the house. I couldn't wait to see if it worked well while we were out. So my fiance and I had a lot of errands to run and we left the house for a few hours.
When I came home and entered my apartment, I could smell citrus everywhere. My fiance and I were both quite impressed by the difference. He smokes cigars and the scent of them were diminished. I was shocked at the difference it made.
I had put it in our second bedroom where the computers are and I could smell it in our other bedroom down the hall. I may live in an apartment but believe me it is over 1400 square feet and plenty of space. So it isn't as if I was in a tiny little place. The Glade PlugIns Scented Oil was powerful stuff.
I have since used the holder and will be picking up another one for the other end of the house, the master bedroom, to use there as well. I was more than impressed by the citrus scent throughout my home. My fiance was pleased as well and didn't feel as bad about smoking in our home. All in all it was a great present and I am going to get one more.
Price and Availability~
The price for a holder of the Scented Oil depends on whether you want the normal, the extra plug in, or the fan. For the price of just the normal basic Glade PlugIn was around $4-$5 dollars. The price for a refil is just over three dollars. You can find them all over the place whether you are at the grocery store, Target, Kmart, or Wal-Mart.

Overall Thoughts and Impressions~
Compared to other scented oils that we have used in the past, the Glade PlugIns Scented Oil has been the best and the strongest in scent. I was quite pleased with it. However I did try Refreshing Spa and it didn't have the same result as the Refreshing Citrus. So I would say be careful of which one you pick. I highly recommend the Refreshing Citrus because so far it has worked the best for us. With having pets and cigars in the house, the Glade PlugIns Scented Oil cuts through the scent and brings out the citrus.
