Sorry it took me so long to get to your entry, but I've been entirely too busy lately to do much on the computer. If it's any consolation, I've still got a ton more to read!
This was a great entry to the write-off. Honest, funny, and well written. I'll have to come back and read some of your other reviews when I finish with this write-off. Great job!

Though it'll probably anger a few respected Epinionators a little, I have to admit that I got THIS tune off Napster during a marathon search using "theme song techno" as the entry, and the track was labeled "DJ Keoki" but if you own a single, I'm sure "Alpha Team" is correct and mine is one of the multitudes of mislabled Napster files out there. Incidentally, the Sesame Street and Scooby Doo techno remixes are great and amusing too!

That's almost as bad as my forgetting Jewel; I can't believe Big Dumb Sex slipped by. Ah well- by now with everyone's suggestions I think I'm going to make a "favorite sex, booty call, etc." mix! And I can tell you that I was also disappointed with Cornell's concert- he sounded GREAT live, but he was about as personable as a comatose druggie, and I think it's mainly because that's exactly what he WAS that night. Too, too bad.

That's not the first time (Reply to this comment)

I've seen Cornell's solo release listed under biggest disappointment. And to think I've been banging my head against my monitor for not remembering to include "Big Dumb Sex" under the, well, the obvious category. I too was veddy let down with the Cornell disk, as my expectations were set oh so high.

Pee wee (Reply to this comment)

When Pee Wee came out at the Music Awards, the first thing he said was "Heard any good jokes lately?" Classic. I guess from all these reviews, I should start getting some Ween records. Good job

Sweet! (Reply to this comment)

This is one of those rare Epinions that strays quite a ways from my own musical realm, but I did have to say the "Speed" tune IS a hilarious booty-call-shout-out to "Trixie" (so THAT'S where she got the name!).
Oddly enough, I have this "album", and it says it's by "Alpha Team" - is that an earlier incarnation of DJ Keoki?

And I quote:
[Slapping my forehead purple] JEWEL! What the hell was I thinking?! I know Janet Jackson is deep-seated childhood lust for me, but JEWEL! OOOOH, DEAR SWEET JEWEL! I want a REWRITE! JEWEL, JEWEL, JEWEL! Janet, you wench- gimme my appendix back! Here Jewel: I grew this JUST FOR YOU.
(Seconds later...)
Oh yeah- JEWEL! I'VE GOT A LIVER FOR YOU TOO JEWEL-HONEY!

...this was your first time. Had I known I would've been more gentle. Yeah, right. I really can't have a party without things gettin' a little out of hand... (geez, did you see what those 3 monkeys are doing over there?)
Anyway, thanks for coming and bringing cool tunes. And don't worry about the Eurodisco because phixed has plenty of that.
