| metalgear2's Full Review: Hewlett Packard PSC 2175 Thermal Inkjet Multifunc... |
This new addition to the HP line somewhat take over the HP psc 2150 or whatever it was called. However I had purchased that one and it had serious problems. The first day I opened it i tried to print 1 page of text at its highest speed and it took aproximately 15 minutes to print, so I returned it and 6 months later purchased the 2175 the only flaw is that it does not have a built in fax like its predecessors.
However it still has its memory card slots, copy, scan and print functions. When printing photos this thing is still incredible. It has a very large ink cartridge capacity. It has been 9 months and I am still running off of the free included sample ink cartridges!
This machine is truly a great addition to any office or home. With its easy 1 button black or color copy functions. Or its easy to use digital camera memory card slots with its photo proof sheet.
The proof sheet prints all the pictures on the memory card into small little boxes im guessing around 30 pictures a page, then with a pencil or dark marker u fill in the corresponding circles for the pictures you want and the paper size or borders you want with it, also you can print doubles or triples. Then you place onto the scanner and press the proof sheet button and "WHALA!" the scanner picks up the filled in circles and prints whatever u selected.
The printer also comes with HP's memories disc maker that lets you create CD or DVD slideshows of your pictures. Not to mention it also includes its digital scan and photo editing software.
The printer has usb2.0 and USB1.0 connections, and you can also purchase a special add-on that will allow you to automatically print double sided pages without having the printer print all the even numbered pages and then having u re-insert that paper and then have it print the odd numbered pages.
This is one great machine, and I will always continue to use HP as my printer.
