The NES Zelda game is so primitive, but still cool anyway ;) I hope James has this one for the N64, it's really a classic (for all ages ;P) thanksss :>

Hello (Reply to this comment)
by suzie04
This game sounds so fun! I used to be a Legend of Zelda fan back in the NES days. I am getting so old now. :D James actually has a Nintendo 64 so I'll see if he has this game. (As you can tell, James still has some growing up to do. :D)
Oh, and I'm happy to see that MH! You deserve it!

I've never played Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy VII, so I don't know if they're any good or not...thanks for the MH rating! Woohoo! ^_^

great review (Reply to this comment)

I always assumed that Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy VII were the best games, but then my mom got me an N64 and I got this, and well it didn't so much move the bar downfield as it did put it in a truck, drive it to the airport and send it off to New Zealand or some place. Pure quality incarnate. Thanks for the review.

Nicely Done... (Reply to this comment)
by sam-pro
and I know for a fact that this is a great game but I gotta tell ya...I still think that "Zelda" for Super Nintendo was the greatest game ever created!
I loved the maps and different worlds plus all those hidden treasures. And when the walls opened up revealing a secret room...well that was awesome!...Peter

So I'm a naturally giddy person and added a few extra 'i's to my name...^_^
Really, such a cool write off. I think I might write some more reviews in video games because it was so fun.
And Brian, did you know that they sold actual Zelda ocarinas when this game came out so that you could play like Link did? Kind of weird, but interesting.

It's a shame you'll never play this game, it's sooo cool ^_^ Fighting the bosses in this game is pretty fun, but some of them are HUGE and can be pretty threatening, especially when you're a child.
You still haven't gotten around to playing A Link to the Past? At least you can play it...I wish I had that game...I really do need it...
Horseback riding rocks! ^_^

Ugh Brian don't scare the gal, she's still so young!
Great review Jackiiiii :) (is that really your name? How on earth do you pronounce it?!?) - I hope you'll be back reviewing in the Games section again 'cos we need good reviewers like you in this category (yeah okay, so we need them in every category...)
Oh, and thanks for the WO entry! :-D

now really? how cool! i kinda hate you for writing this (not really) because i don't have an N64 - and never plan to get one - so it looks like i won't ever be able to play this!
some aspects of this one sound similar to "a link to the past" for the SNES. for instance, the ability to go from being a boy to a "man" (speech marks because i wouldn't classify 17 as being a man lol) is similar to the ability to warp from the light world to the dark world in "a link to the past". but you know what were always my favourite parts of zelda games? the boss fights at the end of the dungeons! i just loved them for some reason...
but all in all, this sounds like something i could've definitely become addicted to! and you make me want to go away and play "a link to the past" right now, which is always a good thing! oh, you really need to get that game...
fun review. i counted one yay! this time (concerning horseback riding)

ocarina! (Reply to this comment)

I just think it's cool that i looked up what an "ocarina" is to write a music review, and later that week you put "ocarina" in a review title. I used to date a girl who was a Legend of Zelda freak. She was a freak in more troublesome ways too, alas, or otherwise i'd've probably learned to play this one.
cheers,

This is one of the best games of all time, in my humble opinion. Excellent review of one of the most influential games ever made.
