I purchased this monitor for use on my secondary pc, and found it to a very good monitor for the price. Originally I planned on picking up a 17" Iiyama or Sony flat crt monitor, but I found the 955SL priced less than the 17's I was considering and found it hard to pass up.
The colors on the 955 are decent, they may seem alittle washed out if you are used to using a Trinitron or Diamondtron crt display, but then again, those monitors use different technology and cost quite a bit more.
Text is sharp and legible, and easy on the eyes.
One thing that I really liked was the on screen menus. They are very easy to use and navigate through. The actual button layout may take a couple times to get used to, but the menus really are a breeze to use.
No complaints except the screen is quite curvy, and the corner images/text curve along with it, I guess I'm just not used to it. I use a Dell P1100 (FD Trinitron) at home and also at work, and also have an Iiyama VisionMaster Pro 450 (Diamondtron), so I'm used to a flatter screen and sharper images. Before buying I noticed that the refresh rates were alittle lower than what I am used to using (85hz vs 100hz @ 1152x864), but 85hz is plenty, especially considering the price.
Considering this monitor is so inexpensive ($300), it really is a good value. It offers plenty of screen real estate and above average quality. If you are looking to upgrade from a smaller size and don't want to pay alot, this may be the right monitor.
