It was my pleasure to order the "Growers Choice Bouquet" from ProFlowers.com. As with all .com, FTD or Teleflora purchases one always wonders if what you ordered will indeed be delivered. Will they substitute, will they be fresh, will they be damaged and will they arrive on time are questions every buyer asks themselves when ordering from a catalog, flyer or unknown source.
The recipients of flowers or potted plants are usually gracious enough to respond with delight upon receipt of these beautiful living gifts and the giver hesitates to ask the pertinent questions! Perhaps we all secretly let out a sigh of relief for the simple reason that our family member, loved one, friend or business acquaintance did indeed receive something!
On April 20, 2004 I ordered this lovely assortment of cut flowers to be delivered on the occasion of my daughter's Birthday on April 23. I left the bouquet of flowers to be included up to the grower, hence the name. The order was acknowledged immediately, as most are, and three additional e-mails followed. The second was the receipt of the order from the grower in Florida, the third a notice of FedEx shipment as well as tracking information, the fourth a notice of delivery with the time noted and the last a hearty thank you note from ProFlowers.com which included a special $20.00 off coupon for a lovely arrangement of 20 Mother's Day Tulips in vibrant colors. As a customer who consistently makes on-line purchases, I appreciate this kind of attention to detail and, indeed, have come to expect it from those I buy from.
My daughter called to thank me and was fairly glowing with excitement from the sheer amount and beauty of the bouquet. I was very happy but reserved my opinion until the next day. When I arrived at my daughter's home the following day I immediately made a bee line for the flowers and what I saw astounded me! There was not one, but two vases of freshly cut flowers. One, an assortment of white and purple tinged lilies with additional, appropriate and color co-ordinated greenery bearing smaller flowers. The other vase was filled with gorgeous roses of all colors except red. The entire effect was that of Springtime colors, textures, aromas and an absolute delight to the eye.
I cannot think of a nicer way to highlight an occasion than to have such flowers sent and received as a gift. The price of this bounty was $29.99 plus $9.99 FedEx shipping and a free glass vase valued at $9.99! The packaging was incredibly secure with one large spider mum wrapped in a net so the long petals would not be damaged in transit! It is nice to know that there is a place that I will be ordering from that cares enough to send their tender and fragile cargo with all due thought. ProFlowers offers additional gifts as well including chocolates, desserts, assorted gift baskets and links to their business partners for other items and navigation is a breeze. They also accept personal checks, all major credit cards as well as being a member of the "Bill Me Later" credit program. ProFlowers delivers Internationally and offers a freshness guarantee of at least seven days after delivery or you may choose to have them replaced or have a refund issued!
Bravo ProFlowers! You have gained more than one new customer I am sure. If you can keep up this kind of expert delivery and continue to choose growers whose reputation is in line with your own, you will gain more than customers...you will gain and maintain a solid reputation which is the hallmark and cornerstone of any business.
