Pros: cheap.
Cons: destroys data, doesn't work properly, vague specs, cheap and nasty design.
The Bottom Line: I would only recommend this item to somebody I absolutely hated! Don't buy it unless you don't mind being VERY disappointed.

| dolby_digital's Full Review: Delkin eFilm Picturevision Card Viewer (DDPICVIS-... |
I bought this device to display stills and mpeg video taken on my Sony digital camera. The camera itself can be connected directly to a TV but I figured this device would be more convenient.
I inserted a Sony MagicGate memory stick which contained all my recently taken photos. Nothing happened, the startup page just remained on the screen. The "access" light wasn't flashing, so I removed the card and put it into my Sony laptop computer. The Delkin Picturevision had TOTALLY DESTROYED the data on my card.
I am absolutely FURIOUS about this, but I guess I should've backed-up the data first. Still, you really should be able to use a product without having to take precautions every time. (did anyone ever get duplicate slides made each time they used a projector?!)
I reformatted the memory stick and took one photo. At last, some success. The picture looked pretty good on my tv screen. I then took a short mpeg1 movie clip and again tried the card in the delkin picturevision. More problems unfortunately. The device now "crashes" every time I try inserting the card. Each time I then put the card into my laptop computer it tells me the card is no longer formatted. What a lousy product!!!
The technical specs for this device are very vague. It says it can display mpeg1 and mpeg2, but in other parts of the user manual it only mentions VCD format mpegs.
The build-quality and styling leave a lot to be desired too. It's a nasty-looking lump of cheap black plastic. The remote control also looks and feels very bargain-basement. None of this is very important though when the insides of the device don't even work properly.
I really have nothing good to say about this product at all. I hope buy.com will take it back without any arguments!
