I have used AMS the past several years in purchasing some of my guitar equipment. All have been positive experiences. Their delivery speed has been very good. I have had no issues with packaging or the way items have been packed. The biggest piece of equipment I ordered from them was my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp, which I purchased about two years ago. My most recent purchase was about three months ago. I ordered a Boss DR-5 module, a music stand and some guitar tables. Everything arrived in a timely manner. There were no issues with the packaging or the way things were packed inside. The only issue I had was that I was missing one of the guitar cables (first time it's happened with them). After reviewing the invoice to make sure that the item was not on back order and after going through the box itself, I called customer service. The person on the phone could have been a little more pleasant to talk with, however, after going through the package and the contents with her, she put in an order to have the missing item sent. I received that item in a few days.
The main reason why I like AMS over Musicians Friend is because they still offer the E-Z payment plan which is something I take advantage of every time I make a purchase. Musicians Friend used to but did away with it a few years back (bummer). All in all, my experiences with AMS have all been positive and I will continue to do business with them.
