The Bottom Line If you're going to bid on ebay you should look online, in the paper or at you're regular Kroger's or something and see if you can get it cheaper.

Ok, I think ebay is probably the most resourceful tool on finding anything you could ever think of. If you thought of the most obscure object in the world I'm sure someone's trying to sell it on ebay. Hell, I typed in baby beater in the search engine and got items.
But the main reason I'm writing this article is to talk about the morons that use ebay. First, a bid starts at $1 with 6 days left to go until the end of the bid. Then with 4 days left the bid has been jacked up to like $10 dollars more than what you can find it onsale at best buy. I have yet to win a bid on any computer equipment because i can always find it cheaper at www.pricewatch.com. I've been looking for a 12x8x32 Sony cdrw and on ebay these things are won anywhere from $125 to $190 dollars. Well, you can find one on pricewatch for $106 dollars with a $10 dollar shipping fee.
So this goes to show how idiotic bidders can be. They feel they should have their name as the high bidder as the auction is going or they won't win the item. So I sit and wait until the last 10 seconds and bid on the item and win. I've gotten some emails about how p-i-s-s-e-d (hmm, looks like epinions is trying to edit out words they deem inappropriate. wonderful, looks like I need to write another opinion) they were that I won at the last second and I had not bid during the whole time of the auction and then they whine about how they kept track of the bid only to have it taken away in the last few seconds. Oh well.
My point is, why jack the price up needlessly days before the auction ends? Just because your name is next to high bidder that doesn't mean anything. Hell, I don't even bid on an item until the last 20 to 30 seconds of the auction. The same amount of people are generally going to be bidding in the last few seconds of an auction whether the price is $80 dollars or $120 dollars. But that $40 dollars makes a difference if you're bidding on a $106 dollars item you can find on pricewatch. If morons wouldn't needlessly jack up the prices on auctions, the people like us who know how to bid could get a good deal on already inflated prices on merchandise.
