Weight loss, balance it!

The Bottom Line Don't submit yourself to something that you don't understand. Ask about it, and ask your friends, your family, and of course, your doctor.

As much as I hate to admit it, we will never always be skinny. At some stage in our life, we will grow to a rotund-looking object (in our own perspective, that is), and wonder how on earth we actually achieved it. (Some people will actually appreciate blaming their age as the main culprit.)

Well, you’ve achieved it, the point of no return, the age of fat, the “never-rid”. What are we going to do? A few pointers to get you back on track:

Diet comes from planning:
a. Strict timing of when to eat, and when NOT to eat.
b. How much kilojoules do you burn each day? Not sure? Consult your local doctor.
c. You know your kilojoules, now know your food, how much does it contain?
d. Divide your food well, and make sure that your breakfast is the bulk of the energy food, keep lunch kilo-joule intake low, and keep the dinner kilo-joule intake moderate.
e. Now stick to the plan!

But some people do it in a way which is entirely effective, but not long lasting, here are some examples:

I. Skipping meals
II. Doing excessive amounts of exercise each day, skipping meals, and accepting absolutely no amounts of replenishment foods, but then after the goal is achieved, they start eating.

Several problems arise from this. For the first part, if you skip meals, you actually cause your body to turn fatigued. Not only that, because your body is void of nutritious supplements, they will extract more from your next meal. This means that if you skip breakfast, your body will adjust to replenishing the nutrients you did not absorb in the last meal from the meal you are about to have. That could be disastrous, as well as disappointing.
The second part, doing excessive amounts of exercise each day, but then after a few weeks, you see yourself slimmer. You decide to reward yourself… congratulations, you will start to grow fat even quicker! Why does your body do this? Your body has learnt to absorb as much energy and kilojoules from your intake due to the intensive exercise you performed in that period. And if you stop exercising whilst celebrating your temporary body shape, you will find that you will start to turn into the rotunded being that you worked so hard to get rid of. It’s, a really sad case that I keep hearing, steer clear of it!

So, you ask, what is the perfect solution?
Well, there isn’t. (But don’t rate this opinion as “not anything NEAR helpful” as yet, please read on hehe) I assure you that each person is different, but the theoretical approach is the same. Keep a balanced diet, your exercise regular (but not excessive), monitor your kilo-joule intake and exertion, and NEVER skip meals, even if you are desperate.

And finally, onto the main point, before choosing a weight loss program, ALWAYS consult your doctor (even if it sounds pointless). And always ask him of what your body can allow and disallow. Know yourself before offering yourself under the "oh so mighty" weight loss program, for if you failed in your quest for the slim, they aren't going to be responsible (they might give you a refund though, but the point is you're probably going to be more rotunded than before).

Ask for the program's detail. Don't submit yourself to something that you don't understand. Ask about it, and ask your friends, your family, and of course, your doctor. You never know what you might uncover about those "effective weight loss programs".

And remember, Fast effects comes at a price, abide by the law (Fast come, fast go!).
