Thank you for the excellent review. There is no question that you have made my decision much easier with doing a lot of the leg work. P.S.- Wish I was in southern Cal. also. Thanx again.

I went through a similar experience a little earlier and wound up choosing the 2000 Tacoma Prerunner. I like it, but it sure does ride like a truck. The V6 engine was a top feature to me too. No problems 2 years later. I mostly drive freeways and I drive carefully, which may account for my consistent mileage of about 19 mpg.
What I really want to know is which DVD player to buy, but your review of the JVC was so much more informative than most of the others I went to see what else you had reviewed. I have a similar model Mits TV and your review of that was right on, so I checked out GaTech review and this one. Your excellent research skills are topped by your talent for communicating clearly.
Great job!

This is the best and most meticulously researched review I have ever read. Your background in the sciences shows.

Sadly, in my country, consumer protection is a joke, protective legislation being observed more in breach than compliance. Thus, the information you gave on the defect which triggered a recall is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

N
