I bought this phone thinking I'd use a lot of the features and this one thing could replace my digital camera, PDA and cell phone. I have found out I was wrong.
I replaced a Sprint Qualcomm phone that was forever breaking down with this phone. So far I haven't had any issues that seem to plague the other users, as far as software goes. But I am a very light user, mainly using it to make phone calls, some calendar entries, send an odd picture now and then, and download a ring tone or two.
Hardware, however, is my main problem. The simple fact that four plastic pieces go flying everywhere, if the phone is accidentally dropped to a hard surface-like floor- is both annoying and embarrassing. Having to constantly remember to lock and unlock the keys is another issue that drives me nuts, after owning a flip phone. One early morning I either forgot to lock the keys, or the timing of the keysequence was off, and the phone had somehow dialed 911 on its own in my handbag. Of course, I didn't notice it until I reviewed my phone bill.
One other thing that seems to bother other users is the circular pattern of the keys. Not a problem for me. As a daughter of two techno-phobes, I grew up using a rotary phone for the first 15 years of my life.
Overall, I'd say I'm happy with this model as a phone, but all the other functions need big improvement.
