Over the last 10 years I have become a HUGE cider fan. Which all started with Woodpecker cider. It was on draft at a local pool hall which boasted over 160 on tap beers and ales and the one lonely cider. It was at this time that my quest for the perfect apple cider was born.
BODY
The nature of the Wyders apple cider is light and it actually a basic good cider. It is infused with the essence of apples to give it a bit of an oopmh also. Which to me does nothing to harm the cider. The sweetness is not overpowering, but may be cloying for some. There is not aftertaste of bitterness which is why some choose ciders in the first place. The aroma of the cider makes one feel they are in a barn at harvest time in a New England state.
PALATE
When first tasted the cider is a crisp clean taste on the tongue. As it swirls around in your mouth the bitter acid of the cider blends with the sweetness of the apples and acts a refreshing kick in your taste buds. There is no aftermath of harsh hops or malt just refreshing cider.
I have tried almost every TRUE cider out there, not apple cider flavored malts which are pseudo ciders! Wyders is my favorite of the apple variety. It has surpassed even my first love, Woodpeckers.
