My opinion on the 1700 is its the best buy for your money.The Presario 1700 comes equipped with Windows ME,Microsoft Works,Reference,Money, and Word.If you plan on using your laptop mainly for the internet stop your search now.This laptop is mainly made for browsing the net and does it well.The 8x DVD drive is amazing on the 14.1 inch active-matrix display.DVD movies play flawless on the 1700 with no hicups.Allows one button internet access and one button four way scrolling.The 1700 is equiped with a swappable bay which allows you to change floppy drive to DVD without restarting your machine.A Few more cons:
The volume at max is not very loud and occasionally rattles and vibrates.If you type with your computer on your lap beware,the bottom of the 1700 gets incredibly hot.Also no Eithernet card is included with the purchase of this computer.
