The Bottom Line This is My Personal List, I Hope You Find it Helpful!

A Brief Introduction
Horror has always been my favorite movie genre, but in the late 90s this genre has been lagging, everything from the Scream movies, to The Blair Witch project has been very unimpressive to me, it's the 70s, 80s, and early 90s that have really been an impressive time for this often underrated genre. Below is my opinion on the 10 best horror flicks ever, I have made this list based on how much these movies scared me.

The Movie that Scared Me the Most
Stephen King's "IT"
Favorite Quote: "Beep Beep Richie!"

If you have ever seen this movie then you are probably laughing at me now, what's so scary about a clown? Every person that I have ever watched this movie with has laughed through this movie, it's about a clown, and despite the fact that this movie scared me Sh*tless, it is actually pretty funny at some parts. This movie is about a group of kids that sees a clown that adults can't see, this clown terrorizes their town by eating children. Keep in mind that I first watched this when I was in 2nd grade, but it still kinda scares me nowadays, and I'm 16 years old!

The Number 2 Movie
Stephen King's "Pet Sematary"
Favorite Quote: "Daddy, Will You Play With Me?

Stephen King takes up the first to slots on the list, this movie was not as good as "IT", but it was extremely horrifying! This movie tells the tale of a man and his family that move to a new city, soon after their cat dies and a neighbor tells the man of a cemetery that will bring the cat back to life, he decides to try it but the cat comes back with evil motives. Eventually the man buries his son and wife in the cemetery, and his wifes satanic carnation kills him in the end. This movie lacks the humor of "IT", but what makes up for it in the chill factor, even though I no longer fear this movie!

The Number 3 Movie
Child's Play
Favorite Quote: "We're Friends Till the End!"

Talk about a suspenseful movie! I always jump when Chucky jumps out, even though I know it's going to happen! This movie starts out with a criminal on the run hiding from a cop in a toy store, the cop finds him and shoots him. Right before the criminal dies he uses voodoo to transport his soul into that of a good guy doll. A mother purchases this doll for her son, and then the doll (Chucky) get's revenge on all the people that did him wrong, and he attempts to take the soul of the woman's son. I do not know a single person that has not heard of this movie, I highly recommend it!

The Number 4 Movie
Jaws
Favorite Quote: "Smile You Son of a B*tch!"

Probably the most likely to happen in real life movie on the list. Jaws literally made me afraid of water, I was seriously afraid to go to the bathroom! The movie starts with a group of teens hanging out around a bonfire, when a girl and a guy run off and decide to go for a swim. Before the guy gets to the water he passes out, and thegirl is eaten by a shark. This shark feeds off of swimmers at an island. This movie was so scary to me because it could really happen, I am still hesitant to go swimming.

The Number 5 Movie
Night of the Living Dead (Old and New Versions)
Favorite Quote: "They're Coming To Get You Barbara!"

I decided to write this on both versions of Night of the living Dead, mainly because I like them both the same. The movie starts with a man and his sister on their way to visit their mothers grave when they are attacked by a zombie, the man is killed but his sister (Barbara) finds a house to take refuge in, and she finds that there are people inside and they work together to try to survive the night. The two movies have totally different endings, that is the main difference between the two. This movie scared me pretty badly, I was more cautious when walking alone at night after watching these two.

The Number 6 Movie
Friday The 13th
Favorite Quote: "Kill Her Mommy! Kill Her!"

This movie did not really scare me all that bad when I first watched it, it was awhile later on a camping trip that I was scared out of my mind! The movie tells the story of a mother who is seeking revenge for the drowning of her son. She sneeks around the camp where her son died, and she kills teens that work at the camp. The movie has an interesting twist at the end, it scared me to death! Is there anyone that hasn't seen this movie? This is a classic!

The Number 7 Movie
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Quote Currently Not Available

Sick dude, real sick! That's what I think of this movie! This movie has made me stop eating chili, and there's a good reason why! his movie is about a VERY disfunctional family that kills people and makes chili with them! It all starts with a group of teens on a road trip when they pick up a hitchhiker, well the hitchhiker cuts himself and they throw him out. One thing leads to another and the whole group of teens is killed, except for one lone survivor. I have only watched this movie once, but once is all I need to get grossed out.

The Number 8 Movie
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Favorite Quote: Leather Face Has a Girlfriend!

Like the first installment, part 2 is sick! It continues the tale of the chili loving family, and their canibalistic acts. Continuing from the last one, a family member from one of the teens from the first movie seeks revenge for the loss of his loved one. He finds out even more about the weirdos, and he eventually kills them. This movie was pretty scary, but not as scary as the first! In my opinion this movie had way more gore than the first installment, but is that really a good thing?

The Number 9 Movie
The Candyman
No Quote Given at this Time

Candyman, Candyman, Candyman. I'm willing to bet that nobody would be able to say that into a mirror after watching this movie, well I couldn't anyways! The movie is about a woman that finds out that she is the decendant of a black man, and that he was brutally torturd to death and had his arm cut off. Well her ancestor is back, and he goes about killing numerous people. The music from this movie is probably the scariest aspect, one time I actually turned down the volume so I wouldn't get as scared as I usually do!

And the Final Movie to Make My List Is...
Friday the 13th Part 3
No Quote Given at This Time

The lowest slot on my list belongs to Friday the 13th Part 3, this was one of the best in the franchise. This movie scared me bad, but not as bad as the other movies on this list. The part that scared me the most was at the very end when Jason's mom comes out of the water and pulls the girl in. The movie starts with a group of teens going out to a house on a lake. Well Jason again is seeking revenge for his mother, he ends up killing everyone except for one girl who goes insane at the end. This movie made me afraid of the outdoors, literally I was afraid to leave my house!

Well........I hope my list was helpful to you, I recommend watching these movies, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
