My needs were for a new vehicle with major warranty that maximized value at a minimal price. Researched heavily, compared and test drove. I bought the Forenza and couldn't be happier. Considering this car is among the least expensive vehicles on the market, it's design, features, fit, finish and performance make this car TOPS in value. The Italian design is both contemporary and sleek, looking much more expensive than many compacts (my neighbor has a Volvo and HE was impressed!). Interior appointments, design, features are very good. The 8 speaker CD/Cass/Stereo is excellent. Very adequate trunk space, including 60/40 split fold down seats. DID I MENTION THE PASSENGER SPACE? This car is ROOMY for a compact car; very comfortable for adults in front and back (haven't tried 3 in the back seat yet but could manage). Performance: this car is good but not great. The acceleration is reasonably good at lower speeds but takes a little push to pass on the highway (not bad though). The ride is very good; bumps are reasonable for a compact car. The steering uses a variable power assist to help more at slower speeds. It gives you a better feel at relative speeds. Cornering is average but who's gonna buy this car for racing? Gas mileage is a little lower than some of it's competitors, but if you don't MASH the gas pedal all the time you'll get decent numbers. If you treat this car with a little "driving respect" it gives great pleasure. Combine this with the outstanding warranty and you have a new Suzuki fan. Very satisfied with this car. If you give it a fair shake I'll bet you buy one!
