Google.com is absolutely amazing. I first heard of this sight from a friend. I had gone online in a panic after my 3 year old son had scribbled all over my mother-in-law's antique coffee table. I asked my friend what to do and she said, "Have you tried to google?"
So, being desperate, I headed to their website. There were no banners to hunt through and no pop-up windows to interfere with my search. I quickly typed in "Permanent marker on wood" and was quite surprised with the quick response. Even over my regular phone line internet connection, the results were almost instant. And they were exactly what I was looking for.
Since that incident, I've been hooked. Now whenever I need information on anything, I google. I've used it to look up recipes for dinner (by simply putting in a list of what I had on hand), pricing a specific item, locating an apartment for our recent move and then finding new things to do in our new community. I also recently read an article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch that states that many are using Google.com to do "background checks" on people they've decided do date. It seems googlemania has hit, at least in the Midwest.
If you are looking for something specific online, I highly recommend you start with Google. You won't be disappointed.
