Quicken certainly has helped save me time, and tons of paper and calculating.
This year we owe taxes so I have been working long and hard to get this done and take as many deductions as possible. Quicken has been great about calculations, tax rules, and letting me know what I qualified for. I did find myself searching thru the forms to get the best results. The "help" feature is nice for finding out what goes on the line you have highlighted, however finding the reverse is not so easy. For instance if I want to know where to place deductions for computer equipment for the business, the program does not help tell you where to put it. The interview was a great start, got me thru most everything, even the home office deduction, but I had to dig to get deductions for items purchased for the business. The tutorial is not very clear on how to find these things... I suggest lots of right clicking and frequent use of the help button to maximize your results, also view with forms on, if you have seen your tax forms in the past, this helps a great deal.
Of course keep in mind that I have a very complex tax situation, but I do believe that for those that don't have all the business and such expenses that this would be a great way to take care of your taxes.
