Our local multiplex always has long lines and I am bad at predicting sell-outs. That small fee is definitely worth it to me - just a little insurance that I won't have to stand in line or drive back later. With two kids and a full time job I don't mind paying for a little convenience but I can see where the fee wouldn't be worth it to everyone all the time. thanks for your comment!

like you said, with a new movie that's just come out, you don't want to wait in line, or have it end up being sold out- but otherwise (call me cheap!), but I didn't want to pay the fee and don't see a need to purchase ahead of time.
