80's Hairdo Bands
Apr 30 '01
The Bottom Line I feel all those I listed above deserve to be in the list of the best hairdo bands of the 80's.
If I were to be stranded on a dessert Island and I had to choose my top 10 CD’s to bring with me, then I guess I will have to take a journey back to the “big hair days” of the 80’s.
10. Lita Ford With Lita’s shredding guitar sounds and her outstanding voice I would say her hairdo is one of the best of any girl rock singer of the 80’s. She has the ability to stand up along side with one of the best heavy metal singer from that generation and that is Ozzy. (Will it remain unchanged) was the song they teamed up together with and it made one of the number one hits on the chart. Her other songs I would love to have along with me include (Big Thing, Kiss Me Deadly)
9. Skid Row Sabaston Bach’s hair style was wild and crazy, and made him one of the best looking men on stage. I would take this CD because it reminds me of my younger youth days. With songs like (18 in life, Youth gone Wild, and I remember you.) His height was also something that was pretty cool he stood 6ft 6inch tall. His songs were great because they were strong, they told a story of what it is like as a youth.
8. Kiss Of course we can’t leave out this great wonderful classic band. Not only did Kiss have some awesome hairdo’s but they sure did know how to Rock and Roll. With that great makeup and the voices of only a mother could love, rocked the world in the 80’s. They were a strong hard metal band and the lyrics to some of their songs were not so suitable for the younger children to listen too. They say that Kiss was the group that put the “X” in SEX. With song like lick it up, Beth. Ace, Peter, Paul, Gene sure did make one of the best rock bands to ever come alive in the 80’s.
7. Slaughter Mark Slaughter had a voice that just rang in your ears. With his great love songs and rock songs they burnt their way through the 80’s. In 1998 though Tim Kelly died in a car accident and the band came out with a new CD called Eternal Live as a tribute to one of their band members. With songs like “Fly to the angles, and Up all night) Mark knew what every woman wanted to hear. He is a legend in his own time. Mark is no longer with the band; instead he is now recording on his own.
6. Warrant we can’t leave this great hairdo band of the 80’s out of this list. Jamie Lane was so hot and cute and his nice blond hairdo just makes this band. They wore those tight spandex, and makeup that made them look like women, and hair spray galore. Their number one song “ cherry pie” will go down in history as one of the best songs of the time. We can’t forget the love song “ heaven” this song brings tears to my eyes each time I hear it. I still like the song “Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich” the best out of all the songs they sing.
5. Cinderella This band was not only know for the way their hair was so wild, but most people can remember them as one of the first bands to twirl around those guitars. They loved to put them around their necks, or toss them to each other on stage. Now even the storybook Cinderella would be jealous of this band. They may be made up of all guys, but come on now their looks are just like women.
4. Motley Crue From 1983-1990 this band ruled the metal music world. They had 4 smash hit CD’s during this time, Songs like Dr Feel Good, Girls, Girls, Girls. They were considered one of the outwardly public bad boy bands of the 80’s. Every mother wished her child never heard of this rock band. There music could get you up and dancing as soon as you heard the first strum of the guitar. They have the best vocals of any band in the 80’s. They are now on tour in the year 2001 with Poison.
3. Jon Bon Jovi Now who can forget this band? Jon and his nice long blond curly hair, and his long trench coat and those sexy blue eyes could turn any woman’s eyes towards him. I loved this band when they first came out and I knew they were going to keep on rocking when some of the older bands started to fade out into the dusk. In 5 years this band sold 25 Million copies with their first CD Bon Jovi, the song Runaway was a hit. In the first 5 years they had 5 #1 hits. Runaway and Living on a prayer were my two favorite songs from this band. They were the types of songs you could really boogie down too. The guitar and vocals and drums all came together and made them a hit. Songs like “ Shot through the heart, Dead or Alive,) were some of their other great hit songs. This year Jon Bon Jovi came out with a new look. He no longer has his 80’s hairdo style instead he cleaned up his act and tamed down his style in music. “It’s my Life” has become a number one song this year and Jon Bon Jovi is back in the seat again.
2. Twisted Sister Alright we might not really care too much for his style in music but I remember the song “ I wanna Rock” and this song was a blast to listen too, and remember “ I don’t want to take it”? We all felt that way sometime in our youth, where we didn’t want to listen to parents or authority, but Twisted Sister made it all seem so real. His hairdo has to be at the top of my 80s hairdo bands. Remember his wild long puffy hairdo? Well if you know who Christian Agulara is and you seen her recently with her new hairdo look, then you will understand what I think Dee Snider looks like.
1. Poison we can’t leave this band out either. Poison has rocked the music industry with some of the best songs ever. With their strong powerful ballads and great looking guys they have took the stage with a storm. Good Time and Talk Dirty to Me and Action were 3 of my favorite songs they ever wrote and sang. The voices of these guys are just outstanding I can’t imagine anyone not liking this band. In 1991 they had 3 platinum albums.
There you have my top 10 best CD I would take on my dessert Island, and they are all some good kick butt groups from the 80’s hairdo days.
