This radar detector offers a lot of neat features (compass, strobe, etc.) but the feature you need most (radar detection) works poorly. This thing has tons of false alarms. The POP detection goes off all the time - and my area doesn't even use POP yet. The voice alerts are annoying (yes, you can turn them off - but why pay for the feature). The detector, when mounted on your windshield, is hard to see from the driver seat. The packaging even warns that the product contains lead and you should wash your hands after handling!!!!
