Cons: Turns off on it's own, poor reception, poor quality phone
The Bottom Line: Poor quality phone that should be avoided no matter what provider. I am very disappointed in Nokia - we expect much more from them

This phone was promoted by Cingular a few months back very heavily. It is what they call a GAIT phone which means it works on GSM, TDMA, and analog systems. This is a very nice idea, however my service with this calling plan and phone is horrible - BUT, that is another review...
Back to the phone: I am on my second one of these phones. The first one I got in December of 2003. My wife also got one at that time. My phone had a buzzing sound very soon after and started to turn itself off several times a day. I took it to Cingular and they gave me a brand new one. Only a few days after getting the new one it started turning itself off several times a day as well. My wife's phone has started doing this as well. Two people that I work with have the same phone and are experiencing the exact same problems. The top plate where the on/off switch and IR port are keeps coming off on my two phones and we have lost the one to my wife's phone now.
The reception on mine and my wife's phone is horrible as well as the other two people that I work with that have the same phones. We have all also been expeiencing dropped calls. I'm not sure if it is due to the phone or Cingular's service.
The problem with Cingular and these phones now is that now we are all in contracts and to switch to a different plan and get a different phone we have to pay full price for new phones which amounts to several hundered dollars per phone. Cingular is unwilling to do anything about the defective phones and therefore I am going to pay the money to break my contract and switch to a different provider.
The bottom line is that this is a very poor quality phone and should be avoided no matter what provider.
