Remember, it is a phase. Stay positive, don't fight against it. Eat small meals during the day.

How exciting! For some reason, peppermint used to help me. At times when I was in public and worried I'd have to go running for the bathroom, I would suck on those peppermint candies or even just smelling some peppermint would help. Of course I didn't discover this until my 4th pregnancy. I sure could have used it with the first one, sick the whole 9 months.

Hope this phase doesn't last too long for you!

I started each morning with a glass of chocolate milk and it helped my stomach, only the first pregnancy was morning sickness, the next two nothing and I had the milk and full breakfast.

Good luck! Bonnie

I'm jealous if your nausea actually goes away for you after the first trimester.

I'm in the middle of week 36 and have consistently been sick at least once each day (and not just nausea) throughout the entire ordeal.

Unfortunately for me, the only things that have helped at all were to stop taking vitamins completely and about the only thing I can drink is milk. Anything in the least bit acidic is bad. Very bad. :(

CONGRATULATIONS & Welcome Back! (Reply to this comment)

I had BAD morning sickness both times so I know how you are feeling. And you are right (for most women) it's just a phase. For those of you really having a problem keeping food down PLEASE be honest with your OB because dehydration is a serious threat...

That said, I found potato chips and ginger (the kind they sell with Sushi... I only ate California roll/no raw fish, and bought it whole ginger in the food stores) worked for me.

I wrote an editorial on this topic where MANY Epinionators wrote what worked for them. I am posting the link in hopes of finding you some relief! lol.
