have a Samsung S105 phone. I've had TMobile Get More Plan for 39.99 + unlimited internet + nights and weekends, with 600 anytime mins, unlimited nights and weekends. It comes to a total of about $50 a month. But the list of what I can do for $50 per month is amazing. I
I can:
- use 600 mins a month
- check mins used by dialing "#646#" and it displays mins used without taking up any airtime
- access my college email(imap), and my comcast email(pop3) and have text messages sent to me everytime i get an email.
- check live scores whenever i want. find a restaurant, get directions. play games. internet doesnt take up airtime.
- get reception in the subway area in boston. i can talk on the phone, while people other cariers have no service

The best part is that I have not had any "HIDDEN" or roaming charges. So I know that my monthly bill wont be over $50, unless if i talk for over 600 mins(but i keep track of my mins)

Their customer service is great. After about 10 months, my phone screen stopped working, they sent me a free replacement, because the phone came with a 1 yr warranty.
Overall I'm very satisfied with the service and phone.

Comparatively, sprint is a little expensive but has nice phones. cingular has decent services and now has nice phones. Verizon would be a nice alternative, but they dont provide as much minutes, but they have great reception. nextel's reception is not too great, but has good features, but also charges extra for most features. AT&T just plainly sucks because they ripped me off with a lot of money. They owe me over $300. They have worst customer service, trying to make money thru every loophole.

So yeah I recommend TMobile
