This computer surprised me with great graphics: very good for the eyes. I depend to do and store my academic research on it and use it as a potent communication tool constantly. It is very fast, if you don't use anything above Windows 98. The connectivity is smooth and easy. One of the great things is that you can have a floppy and a CD drive without having to exchange them. In the past three years it became a little obsolete, in the sense that computer companies continue to produce faster machines, but for me SOLO 2500 is the optimal solution: can do everything I need and more, and I did not have to pay for unnecessary hardware or power: it is quite customisable. It could be used for several more years, but Gateway will exchange it for a more advanced model after the second year. The touchpad is excellent and, after having used it, I would not like to have another pointing device but a mouse: the whole system is very Comfortable to use.
