Pros: Excellent sound quality, easy to install, great features.
Cons: Size of a Radeon 9800 pro, back connectors are aluminum not brass.
The Bottom Line: The best $70 you can spend, pro's outweight cons by a ton.

| supersonic3473's Full Review: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Sound Card |
Sound Quality - Not far off from the top model Audigy 2, at least not enough to justify the price difference, 24 Bit 192 KHz DVD quality sound it good enough for any one.
Features - With the new software for the Audigy 2, there are 3 control panels. First being the EAX 3.1 panel, from there you have 4 tabs 1.Effects for EAX 3.0 2.CMSS 3D which up mixes stereo music to multi channel surround on a 4.1, 5.1 or 6.1 system, CMSS 3D 2 is also an option, it does the same thing but with added ambient effects 3. Cleanup which removes any unwanted distortion from older recording or songs. The last tab is 4. Time scaling, with this you can speed up or slow down music. The speaker settings control panel has 2 tabs, one being speaker selections which allows you to set Headphones, 2.1, 4.1, 5.1, or 6.1 sound settings along with being able to select digital output only. The other is Bass management, thats where you can set the volume of the subwoofer or crossover frequency. The last tab is for diagnostics. The last tab is the surround mixer tab, from here you can adjust treble and bass control or you can adjust the volumes from the different sources of sound in your PC.
Ease of use - The software is very easy to install and use, installing the card was as easy as installing any other PCI card.
Compatibility - Seems most games can take advantage of some form of EAX, so you dont have to worry about if EAX 3.0 will be used or not.
