I owned a lot of cellular phones in my life from various technologies Analog, TDMA, GSM and CDMA. Just to name few of them was the Motorola MicroLite (it was more like a MicroTruck ...:-) Ericsson DH-318, Nokia 6120 and 5110 and 6150 as well as Motrola GSM StarTac and The new Wap enabled TIMEPORT P3089+ and some other phones I have for short time (like the famous Ericssons T28).
And I can tell you as a conclusion -
NOTHINH, I REAPEAT NOTHING IS LIKE NOKIA.
1) The have the best user-friendly menus and controls.
I was tried to get used to my expensive WAP Motorola TIMEPORT for 4 month - with know luck, I was still dreaming about my old 6150.
Just for sample Its took a lot of time for giant companies like motorola to understand that people wants to know what phone calls they have missed nad in what hour and date,
in nokia its for about 4 years you have this option with a puch of a button and you have 5 dates and time for each one of the last 10 calls you have missed, that feature isnt implanted in the youngest motorola phones.
Dont understand me wrong Motorola and Ericsson made very very good cell phones - BUT NOKIA MADE THEN EVEN BETTER.
2) Sound quality, For my experience the best sound (and the loudest too) is from nokia, But I have have some friends that think that ericssons has good quality too, but not the same max volume as nokia - Its very useful in crowdy streets...
3) AND you cant deny that their phones are very popular that means that you can buy compatible accessories a very low price - 15 buks or less for 1100mAh slim Vibarating battery is very common in ebay, check it out.
The same for chargers auto adaptors and headsets.
And if it come to choose a model within nokia's phone I will take th 61xx series because the built in PIM and calulator and so on... (the pim is not that useful but it good if you dint have a lot of appointments and other schedule data to get into it, it has some very nice features inside like reminder of calling a no from the internal phone book or the SIM card in the case of GSM phone)
