Loved Hotelclub and would definitely book from them again

The main reason I wrote this review was because I couldn't find any personal reviews when I decided to book from hoteclub. All I found were small magazine and newspaper reviews and of course, lots of reviews from Hotelclubs own site. I hope this helps anyone who need a real personal review.
I stumbled across Hotelclub.net while searching for a hotel in Greece. When I saw the hotels and prices I was a bit skeptical about the site. I found hotels that I couldn't find on other hotel booking websites (travelocity, orbitz, expedia, tripadvisor...etc) you name it I'm sure I've checked it. The prices were also lower than all the other websites I checked out. Plus I couldn't find reviews on this site so I was a bit iffy.
After looking at their list of hotels I decided on one hotel that I couldn't find on all the other websites. It was within my budget and in a very desirable area of Athens, Greece. I did a search on the hotel and found other sites, mainly european websites, who were charging about $50 more for this hotel. I couldn't find much reviews on the hotel but Hotelclub had their own ratings from previous customers who booked the same hotel from them in the past (after my trip I found out they also had written reviews that I missed). I decided to book the hotel since the reviews were decent, price was good and area was excellent.
I didn't regret anything, hotelclub was great! The thing I loved was how they listed what area the hotel was located in. It's listed out nicely and you can restrict your search to find hotels in certain areas. This was great cause there were only certain areas I wanted to stay in and this really helped make my decision easier. And as I mentioned earlier, they listed certain hotels that weren't even offered on other websites. I wouldn't even have found the hotel I stayed at had I not found Hotelclub.
Another good thing about Hotelclub is that they have offices in a couple of countries. So if anything happens to your reservation you can contact them without worrying about the time difference.
Customer service was great too. I called Hotelclub because my reservations were still not at the hotel and I was arriving in 2 weeks. The website has a FAQ on this but I was still worried. The person who assisted me was friendly and helpful. He told me what was happening and if there were anymore problems to just call back.
The only problem I had was hotel availability for some hotels. If the hotel you choose has a red "book" button then the hotel is available, if it's blue then you have to request for availability. If the latter is the case then you must fill out a form that tells them the hotel you want along with your credit card number. If the hotel is available then they will charge your card immediately and send you confirmation, if not they will notify you w/o charging your card. I found that to be such a hassle because I wasn't sure if I should book my airline tickets first or check for hotel availability. The site tells you that it might take anywhere from 24-48 hours to respond, especially if you live anywhere other than austrailia. I was expecting a long wait but i received a response within an hour. Service was fast! There are penalties for canceling or changing reservations, they're not to bad though, around $5-$15 i think.
Once I arrived at the hotel all I had to do was hand them the voucher I printed from Hotelclub. Everything was paid for and I didn't have any problems. They just took the paper and gave me a key to my room.
When I got back from my trip Hotelclub sent me a email and asked me to review the hotel I stayed at. They sent me a specific link which only allowed a one time review to the hotel I stayed at. So you can be assured that all reviews were from people who actually stayed at that hotel.
Overall I thought Hotelclub was great. The price was great, service was excellent, and the site was easy to use. I highly recommend it
