The Bottom Line: I'd recommend the truck, but make sure you get a good deal. Do not pay MSRP for it! And don't bother getting the T6, the basic engine is good enough.
I've had my XC90 T6 for 4 mths now. Things I hate about the truck:
1. Very little storage space in the centre console;
2. Front dash is very boring (compared to the BMW X5);
3. Seats aren't very comfortable, lack of adjustable headrest;
4. The automatic transmission sucks. 4 speed automatic just doesn't cut it anymore;
5. The 3rd row seats are hard to get to;
6. If you buy the tonneau cover for the trunk, it won't fit in the trunk when the 3rd row seats are up;
7. the T6 engine is gutless. I don't feel there is 268 hp available to the driver, especially uphill. The low torque doesn't help either;
8. There is a huge blind spot right behind the driver side, where the pillar is. Not good when city driving;
9. The fancy stereo has a surround sound mode that doesn't work with the radio very well. If you travel in the city, the signal strength is not consistent and will result in the surround sound cutting in and out;
10. For the price of the T6, you are better off with a BMW X5 3.0L. You do not need the T6 engine, get the 5 cylinder, it's enough (and save a pile of money).
Things I like about the Truck:
1. styling is nice;
2. safety (apparently) is good;
3. the doors close solidly;
4. the interior is put together well. No squeaks at all (unlike my previous X5 4.4L, which made lots of different noises);
