I always cry when I see these shows on TV (Reply to this comment)

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't feel sorry for the kids. I grew up with a brother who was left brain damaged and had been exposed to many many children with deformities and mental disabilities. They are the true heros in this world. It is the adults in the audience and that are watching the shows that will leave thinking those poor kids. It is for them I cry. They can't see how rich their lives really are. They only see what their quality of life is and think that it is better than anyone else who is "different."

Hi,
Thanks for the inspiring epinion! I hope it helps remind parents to remember to tell all our children how good they are at things. Sometimes we fall into the trap of criticizing them. I for one will remember to always say at least one good thing to each of my children every time I see them. Thanks for reminding me how important this is even for children who aren't handicapped in any way.
